The Intricate Dog

Behaviour Reset Program

Helping dogs overcome complex behavioural challenges

If you feel like your dog is giving you a hard time, the chances are they're actually having a hard time.

Dogs don't bark, lunge, growl, hide, or react to make life difficult for us.

These behaviours are often their way of communicating that they feel worried, overwhelmed, frustrated, or unable to cope with what's happening around them.

Until we understand what's driving the behaviour, it's difficult to create lasting change.

This program is suitable for dogs experiencing:

  • Reactivity towards people or other dogs
  • Fear, anxiety or phobias
  • Difficulty coping with everyday environments
  • Over-arousal and an inability to settle
  • Resource guarding
  • Separation-related behaviours
  • Handling or grooming sensitivities
  • Visitor or household challenges
  • Aggression or behaviours with the potential to escalate
  • Shut down or helpless
  • Depressed
  • Anhedonia

The Behaviour Reset Program

Specialist Behaviour Modification Support

Some behaviour challenges require more than training.

When behaviour is emotionally intense, long-standing, or escalating, it needs structured assessment and a carefully staged modification plan.

These cases demand depth and a structured, methodical approach, not quick fixes.

We work systematically to:

  • Identify emotional drivers
  • Reduce overall stress load
  • Analyse environmental triggers
  • Address reinforcement history
  • Strengthen coping and recovery skills
  • Modify behaviour through staged exposure and skill development

We prioritise emotional stability first   -    Skill-building follows   -   Sustainable change becomes possible

Comprehensive Initial Behaviour Consultation
A detailed behavioural assessment examining history, patterns, environment, lifestyle, and emotional state.
