The Intricate Dog

Behaviour Consultation

A behaviour consultation is a private one-on-one session with you/your family and your dog, in your home. It enables us to design an individual behaviour modification program tailored to you/your dog's needs by assessing the problem and addressing the issue.

WHAT'S INVOLVED

You will be asked to complete a behavioural assessment form and return it before an appointment can be arranged.
We may phone for further information and if we feel that a referral to a Behavioural Vet is necessary, we will advise you at this stage so no fees are incurred.

The initial consultation lasts up to 2hrs. The dog behaviour practitioner discusses your concerns and your dog will be assessed.
This is not dog obedience training, the aim is to work on changing how your dog thinks, feels and acts and you will be provided with all the necessary help and information to assist you with this.

After the consultation, you will receive a written report outlining your dog's needs and a behaviour modification plan specifically designed for you and your dog, including management, training and enrichment strategies.
Follow-up sessions will be scheduled as we work within your dog's comfort level to achieve positive results.

We will be in close contact with you throughout the program to see how you are progressing and to answer any questions you may have.

Cost $100 per hour

(Discounts apply for sessions that are held at The Intricate Dog in Paradise Point - please email for details)
